6.1.11. Carburettors
THE GENERAL DATA

On cars some types of carburettors with a falling stream are established.

The single-chamber carburettor 32 TL is established on the engine of 1,2 l. Similar carburettors 32 PDSI and 1В1 are established on engines of 1,3 l with low degree of compression.

The two-chamber carburettor 2Е3 is established on engines 1,3 with normal degree of compression. Throttle заслонки the carburettor open consistently. Throttle заслонка the secondary chamber opens only at high turns of the engine under loading. Consecutive opening throttle заслонок provides high economy of fuel at smooth acceleration and uniform movement, and also provides the maximum capacity of the engine by full pressing of a pedal of an accelerator. Management secondary заслонкой is made by vacuum in the primary chamber. Diameters of elements of the primary chamber of the carburettor it is less, than secondary.

The system of idling of the carburettor works irrespective of other systems and copes the screw of adjustment of quality of a mix.

Calibration of the main jets is made so that the engine worked normally at half-open throttle заслонке. For maintenance of giving of demanded quantity of fuel at the maximum acceleration the vacuum valve экономайзера is used. The valve submits additional quantity of fuel at the maximum depression at completely open throttle заслонках.

For increase in giving of fuel at acceleration the accelerating pump submits additional fuel in main диффузор the primary chamber. Management of the accelerating pump is made by a mechanical cam from draught throttle заслонки.

Carburettor GM Varajet II established on models 1,6 of l – two-chamber type, but the main fuel jet copes the valve with a conic needle.

All carburettors have systems of idling and the accelerating pump which submits additional fuel to the carburettor at sharp opening throttle заслонки.

In the presence of automatic air заслонки the cover заслонки heats up an electric heater and at engine work is gradually closed. On the carburettor 2Е3 the cover air заслонки heats up a cooling liquid. If on the carburettor it is established automatic air заслонка any type, at start of the cold engine it is necessary to press an accelerator pedal some times.
