12.18. Removal and installation of tips of steering draught
THE GENERAL DATA
The prevention

At removal of a tip of steering draught it is necessary to use a stripper of spherical hinges. At installation it is necessary to use new самоконтрящуюся a nut of fastening of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draught.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At presence remove a wheel cap, then ослабьте bolts of fastening of a forward wheel.
2. Tighten a manual brake, then lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports.
3. Remove a corresponding forward wheel.
4. Loosen the a bolt clamping a tip of steering bent for to a carving regulator of steering draught.
5. Unscrew самоконтрящуюся a nut, крепящую the spherical hinge of a tip of steering bent for to a rack of a forward suspension bracket.
6. Using a stripper of spherical hinges, take a pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draught from a rack of a forward suspension bracket.
7. Using a paint or a sticky tape, note an arrangement of a tip of steering draught on a carving regulator. Also it is possible to count number of coils of a carving on an acting part of a carving regulator.
8. Unscrew a tip from steering draught. The tip of the right steering draught is marked by letter R, and the tip of the left steering draught has no marks.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Screw a tip of steering draught on a carving regulator in the same position, as before removal.
2. Establish a pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draught on a rack of a forward suspension bracket and fix new самоконтрящейся a nut, having tightened its demanded moment.
3. Tighten a bolt clamping a tip of steering draught.
4. Establish a wheel and lower the car on the earth.
5. Tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel the demanded moment.
6. Check up and, if necessary, adjust corners of installation of forward wheels.
