Removal and installation

Cars without a safety pillow

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the button of a sound signal and a steering wheel.

2. Remove the top and bottom casings of a steering column.

3. Turn out screws and remove the multipurpose switch.

4. Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal.

Cars with a safety pillow

At removal of the multipurpose switch on the cars equipped with a pillow of safety, be cautious and satisfy following conditions.
The prevention
Do not assort any of components of auxiliary system of safety SRS. Dismantling of components can put safety system out of action.
Exclude hit on a pillow of safety of solvents or clearing substances.
Transport a safety air cushion separately, a bag upwards.
If any component SRS has fallen or on it there are cracks, dents or other defects in the case, an arm or a socket, replace them with the new.
At transportation do not place a hand on a safety pillow.
Do not heat up the block of a pillow of safety to temperatures above 93°C.
After expansion of a pillow of safety replace a spiral spring of the gauge with the new.
Before installation of a spiral spring of the gauge of a pillow of safety combine a label and the index of neutral position of a spring of the gauge, preliminary having established forward wheels for movement directly forward. If the label of a spiral spring is not combined properly, the steering wheel cannot turn completely or the wire of a spiral spring will be damaged, complicating normal work SRS.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.

The prevention
Before service of system of pillows of safety be convinced that has passed not less than 30 with the ambassador of deenergizing of ignition and a detachment of a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
The system of pillows of safety is equipped by an emergency energy source which allows to develop pillows of safety in case of a detachment of wires from the storage battery at failure.

2. Turn out bolts of fastening of a pillow of safety. Disconnect sockets of a sound signal and a pillow of safety and remove the block of a pillow of safety.

3. Remove a steering wheel.

4. Remove an emphasis for knees of the driver.

5. Turn out screws and remove the top and bottom casings of a steering column.

6. Turn out screws and remove the multipurpose switch.

7. Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal.

Check

With the multipurpose switch in each position check up conductivity between corresponding contacts of sockets. If conductivity does not correspond demanded, replace the multipurpose switch.
