12.19.4. Removal, repair and installation of steering transfer

STEERING TRANSFER WITHOUT THE STEERING AMPLIFIER

Centering of steering transfer

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a wire of weight from the accumulator. 2. On models with the carburettor remove the air filter. 3. On models with a washer of headlights release a tank of a washer and move it aside. 4. Using a screw-driver edge as the lever, remove fixing plate from heads of bolts, крепящих steering bent for to steering transfer, then unscrew bolts and remove washers and a plate. 5. If steering transfer has the shock-absorber, unscrew bolts, fastening a clip of steering transfer and remove the shock-absorber. 6. Establish steering transfer to position for movement directly forward. 7. Unscrew two tightening bolts, крепящих elastic муфту and move elastic муфту to a steering shaft. 8. Remove the right forward wheel. 9. In a motor compartment unscrew bolts, fastening two clips of steering transfer to a partition of a motor compartment, then on the right side take steering transfer. 10. Keep in mind that on some models wires can be attached to steering transfer and hoses which before removal of steering transfer are necessary for disconnecting.

Repair

It is independently possible to replace only protective covers of steering transfer, spherical hinges of cross-section steering draught and cross-section steering draughts.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish steering transfer on a partition of a motor compartment and fix its new bolts, having tightened their demanded moment. 2. Before connection elastic муфты check up that steering transfer is in position for movement directly forward (And = 325 mm) (fig. Centering of steering transfer see). 3. Establish into place elastic муфту and fix its bolts. 4. Connect steering draughts with gear рейкой, thus establish under them washers. 5. Establish a plate or an arm of the shock-absorber and tighten bolts the demanded moment. 6. At installation it is necessary to use a new fixing plate which is established on heads of bolts of fastening of steering draughts. 7. The further installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

STEERING TRANSFER WITH THE STEERING AMPLIFIER

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a wire of weight from the accumulator. 2. On models with the carburettor remove the air filter. 3. On models with a washer of headlights release a tank of a washer and move it aside. 4. Disconnect hoses on the left side of steering transfer and close a hose and an aperture for a hose suitable stoppers. 5. Using a screw-driver edge as the lever, remove fixing plate from heads of bolts, крепящих steering bent for to steering transfer, then unscrew bolts and remove washers and a plate. 6. If steering transfer has the shock-absorber, unscrew bolts, fastening a clip of steering transfer and remove the shock-absorber. 7. Establish steering transfer to position for movement directly forward. 8. Unscrew two tightening bolts, крепящих elastic муфту and move elastic муфту to a steering shaft. 9. Remove the right forward wheel. 10. In a motor compartment unscrew bolts, fastening two clips of steering transfer to a partition of a motor compartment, then on the right side take steering transfer. 11. The further installation is made in sequence, return to removal. 7. Fill in a fresh liquid in hydraulic system of the amplifier of a steering and remove from system air.
